 Our Programs

COMPA Ministries has evolved into an innovative outreach program working to break the cycle of poverty and homelessness by helping individuals reach a given level of self-sufficiency.

Through our vocational training and life skills program, individuals in transitional services programs get on-the-job training and education to help them be productive in the workforce. Through our distribution of fresh produce and other nutritious food, more than 140 hunger relief agencies are able to support nearly 70,000 men, women and children in our community each week with healthy, nutritious meals.

We serve the needs of our community by providing vocational training and development opportunities at our food processing facility in Denver. Through partnerships with other agencies, we help individuals in transitional services acquire the job skills and training necessary to succeed in the workforce in positions that provide them a living wage and, often times, benefits.

In addition, we acquire and process salvage produce that is then distributed through our unique Internet-based Farm Market program, which serves more than 140 hunger relief agencies on a daily basis. We have also pioneered a community harvest program called Project Glean which uses volunteers to harvest fresh produce from local farms. We work with nearly 3,500 volunteers each year who help harvest, sort and distribute food to meet community needs.
